The Magnificat CommunityMission StatementFollowing in the footsteps of Mary the Magnificat Community exists to give Glory to God through life witness, prayer and Apostolic works. We actively participate in the missionary activity of the Catholic Church, responding to the call of Jesus and his Church to the work of evangelisation.
What We DoWe have a music ministry at St Mary of the Angels and provide the music at the 5.00pm Mass every Sunday. People of all ages, nationalities and musical talent belong to this group.
Community Base and RetreatsThe community base is at Cross Creek in the Wairarapa where we have a rural retreat and farm. The community operates a retreat house called Nazareth. This is available for groups to use for their own retreats, meetings etc. We also have a flat available for individuals wanting to make a private retreat or to have time out. Organised retreats are also run throughout the year. 
The Magnificat - PrayerMy soul glorifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour. He looks on this servant in her lowliness; henceforth, all ages will call me blessed. The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is his name! His mercy is from age to age, on those who fear him. He puts forth his arm in strength, and scatters the proud-hearted. He casts the mighty from their thrones and raises the lowly. He fills the starving with good things, sends the rich away empty. He protects Israel, his servant, remembering his mercy, the mercy promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his children for ever.
